What We Do

As an orthotist, I specialize in creating orthoses that help support and correct various parts of the body. This involves a combination of clinical evaluation, gait analysis and hands-on fabrication techniques to develop personalized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Patients come from a variety of backgrounds and age groups, from infants with congenital conditions to adults with age-related mobility issues to patients with problems of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. As a dedicated healthcare professional, I strive to help each patient achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Some common conditions treated include Plantarfasciitis, Flat Feet, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Spina Bifida, Arthritis, and Sports Injuries.

To create these orthoses, I start by conducting a thorough clinical evaluation to assess the patient’s needs and identify any potential biomechanical issues that need to be addressed. This information is then used to select the most appropriate orthosis and where appropriate a customized orthosis is designed, that is specific to the patient’s body and condition.

Throughout the process, I work closely with my patients to ensure that their orthosis is comfortable, effective and meets their individual needs and goals. I provide education and support on how to wear and care for their orthosis to help ensure the best possible outcomes.
