The Orthotics Clinic

Meet Your Orthotist

Hello, my name is Rehana Ali, and I am the Clinical Director and Orthotist at The Orthotics Clinic. I have nearly two decades of experience in the field, having graduated from the prestigious Strathclyde University in 2004. My career has spanned both NHS and private sector roles, which has given me a comprehensive understanding of orthotic care across various healthcare settings.

I possess extensive clinical expertise in all facets of orthotics, and I have developed a particular passion for lower limb biomechanics and neurology. I have collaborated closely with spasticity management teams, enhancing my ability to provide innovative, patient-centred solutions that significantly improve mobility and quality of life.

My commitment to advancing the field of orthotics goes beyond clinical practice. I have conducted valuable research into the effectiveness of orthotics for limb salvage, contributing to the growing body of evidence-based practice in our field. Additionally, as a Student Mentor, I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of orthotic professionals by sharing my knowledge and experience.

As a registered member of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists and the UK Health and Care Professions Council, I maintain the highest standards of professional practice and stay at the forefront of advancements in orthotic care. Recently, I took an exciting step in my career by establishing my own private practice, The Orthotics Clinic in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This venture allows me to directly apply my extensive experience and patient-focused approach in a setting tailored to deliver exceptional, personalised orthotic care.
